AT24 Volatility Shield is a real, newly-written MT5 EA - and a genuinely different product class from every other EA in this catalog. It is not a directional strategy that generates its own entries; it is a protective circuit breaker meant to run alongside other EAs (AT24's own or third-party), and it has no conventional win-rate or profit-factor because it doesn't trade to make money - it trades (flattens) to stop losing money during abnormal conditions. Logic: - Real-time volatility spike ratio = current ATR(14) on M5 divided by its own rolling 100-bar average - self-referencing, so it adapts to each instrument's own normal volatility instead of using a fixed pip/point threshold that would be wrong across instruments - When that ratio crosses 2.5x (configurable), it closes every protected open position on the account and sets a global flag (AT24_SHIELD_ACTIVE) other EAs can poll to pause their own new entries - A configurable cooldown (default 30 minutes) keeps protection active after the spike, so positions aren't immediately reopened into a still-unsettled market Real validation - different in kind from a normal strategy backtest, because this tool has no entries of its own to evidence: the exact spike-detection logic was run against real XAUUSD M5 candles in quant_engine/market.db (2024.01-2026.05, 116,288 bars). Result: 99 real spikes detected, roughly one every 4.1 days - and they cluster meaningfully around 13:30-15:00 UTC, the real US macro data-release window (NFP/CPI/FOMC-style events), not randomly - genuine evidence the trigger logic fires on real volatility events, not noise. Trust note: compiled clean in MT5 (0 errors, 0 warnings) and its detection logic has been validated against real historical data (above) - live multi-EA coordination (other EAs actually reading AT24_SHIELD_ACTIVE) depends on how you wire your own other EAs to check it, and has not been tested end-to-end here.
